Music retail market

I know the title of this essay looks a tiny bit weird but stick with me and I’m going to explain all. In this post you will learn the no1 way you can increase your fan base and build a successful music career…starting at this time.

After I stopped listening to Music promoting Gurus who had not done anything in the music game and started to follow and learn ninja skills from folk who were actually making millions of greenbacks online, everything became far easier.

Now all I do is copy what these fellows do to make so much cash then transfer it to my music.

So here they are , the top two things musicians can find out about marketing from the old school web marketers…

Free Traffic is Best.

For the music marketeer you truly want to be going after a free traffic model in your business. The cause of this is that most indie music artists are on a restricted budget and if you are spending cash everyday on advertising you may probably go out of business.

the right way I know to get free traffic to your site is to post a video to YouTube everyday of your group covering a current chart hit. If you keep at this it’s guaranteed free traffic for life!

If you believe your band is rubbish?

I find the reason lots of bands and artists fail to make any headway in their career is they do not trust in their own music and think that there’s no way on earth that they could ever make it in the business compared to other artists like lady Gaga and such.

But if you’re rubbish that’s OK, just fess up because i have a secret sauce you can add to your music which may leave you 10 times before most other artist if you just implement it every day.

The technique goes like this….

So the simplest way to become great in music is to spend half an hour each day writing new stuff. I’m going into the bathroom with my iPhone and get the ideas down on tape without editing anything out. I just sing and play whatever on earth is in my head and set my iPhone timer to half and hour in order that I do not have to keep consistently taking a look at my watch.

Doing this I have more songs than I know what to do with and after a month I am able to really notice that the standard of my music is much better than when I started.

It’s cheesy but I believe each great singer or guitar player started being rubbish and because they practiced every day they where in a position to bring the standard of their stuff up to standard.

Final thoughts.

I could go on all day about these new music selling strategies but I need to finish this articles here. The important thing you should take away from this is that you’ve got to become a student of selling and work on your promotions each day.

A Review Of Underground Hypnosis, A Taylor Starr’s Hypnosis Course

To be honest, what I wanted to do is write a review and tell you that Underground hypnosis is complete rubbish but I can’t. Let’s start from the beginning.

When I’ve visited Taylor Starr’s sales page I was shocked at his presentation of this course – it was so bad that I have no idea how he actually manages to sell anything. Let me explain.

The Underground Hypnosis is a hypnosis course – nothing more. But what Taylor Starr would like us to believe, is that the techniques he’s teaching are nothing short of magical. He will tell you how these secret hypnotic powers are being guarded by an ‘underground team of dark geniuses’ (his words) who would do unspeakable things to him for reveling their secrets to the public. He talks about an underground sect called ‘the Triad’ (with members that are known as ‘the Leader’ or ‘Willow’), that are the only people in the world who knows these extremely powerful hypnosis techniques.

OK, so his sales page reads like a poorly written horror script and I have no idea how he manages to sell a single product. But if you do decide to buy the Underground hypnosis course, here’s what you will get?

You will get a hypnosis course and not a bad one at that. It consists of 7 audio CD’s and a bunch of written reports. There are a lot of different things (or techniques if you like) put into this course, so it’s part hypnosis, part NLP, with a little bit of seduction, and social engineering thrown in. And if you take away all the mysticism and unconvincing secretiveness, it’s actually pretty good. Now I’m not saying that there aren’t better hypnosis courses out there, but this one really isn’t as bad as you would expect.

So here’s the question, would I recommend it? Well, it’s definitely not for everyone. If you are serious in your approach to learning, than you should probably stay away from it. But if you would like to learn some hypnosis and are a person who likes a little bit of mystery with some horror elements thrown in, than this could be the most entertaining way to learn. When you accept the fact that it’s all just fiction, you can really have fun with this one. It’s like learning about history by reading historical novels. The information may not be the best or most accurate, but they’re good enough and, most importantly, it’s a fun way to do it.

Max International Business Scam – Are We All Being Taken

If you look around all over the internet, there has been really a lot of hype around the Max International business in the last year or so. However, is all the buzz and hype with it and MaxGXL really worth it and is this a legitimate opportunity or just a scam?

OK, so starting at the beginning, what is the Max International Business all about and

All of which sounds excellent, but lets take a closer look at the Max International product line and what they specifically sell. The main product is MaxGXL and that contains glutathione, which aides and improves energy levels, detoxifies your body, and boosts your natural immune system.

Now, take a look at the Max International compensation plan. Overall, it has nine key tiers of payout, to include: retail profits, preferred customer commissions, FastTrack commissions, team commissions, 7 level matching bonus, bonuses for ranks advancement, a global bonus pool, and a bonus car program. Overall, at the core though, it really looks like a pretty normal network marketing opportunity pay plan.

Is Max International really just a scam? No, not at all. It seems to be an up and coming company with a very distinct product line and a good payout plan for its distributors.

But, as is the case with any MLM opportunity, the real deal for the Max International business will be the marketing that its distributors do. That really is the way things become successful, even if they have the latest and greatest products and the best compensation plan.

If you are a Max International business builder, I highly suggest you learn how to effectively market either the business or product in order to be really successful. Learn something like pay per click marketing, electronic magazine ads, or video marketing. This is what creates prospects, leads and downlines.

Knowing The Difference Between Treadmill Belts

Walking belts are known by many different names, but there is not a difference in the basic accepted design even though different people may not use the same term to name a walking belt. Other names are: treadmill belt, striding belt, running belt, jogging belt, bands (with the same descriptive variations), runner, and mat.

For simplicity, we call it a walking belt but our terminology does not limit the type of exercise that you can do. There are different grades of walking belts and they can vary widely in terms of quality and price depending upon the type of construction. Most walking belts are made with two different types of materials that are formed together to form the finished product you see. Most people assume the belt’s top coat is rubber but most today have a PVC top coat. PVC tends to hold up better under a wide range of shoes and applications and due to its strength, many people are fooled into thinking that their belt is OK when the backing is completely worn out.

The backing of the belt is the most important area. The most popular backing materials are monofilament, polyester, cotton, and urethane. Of these backings, the softer the material the less noise the belt will make. So a cotton backed belt will be much quieter than a urethane belt. The trade off is that the softer the material and the less noisy the belt the quicker the belt tends to wear out. Many companies over the last 20 years that once used cotton have now switched over to a polyester blend. The main advantage is that the belt is still rather quiet but it is more heat resistant and is tougher over the long run in its ability to withstand wear.

A backing that is growing in popularity is monofilament. This uses a single type of fiber. Since it uses synthetic materials, it tends to be more heat resistant and can be formed more easily to a rougher backing that will have less surface contact with the deck. The reason this is important is that less contact area will result in less friction which puts far less strain on the motor and controller. The drawback to a monofilament belt is that it noisier than either cotton or polyester backing. Another drawback is that since it is a single fiber, it tends to have less tensile strength than woven or urethane fibers.

The most expensive backing is urethane. It also tends to be the noisiest but if you maintain a urethane backing properly, we’ve seen them last over 10 years in a light commercial setting. It is a very durable material that has the best ability to withstand the rigors of heavy use and the heat buildup that is normally associated with club use.

There is much confusion about layers of a walking belt. Most companies advertise a 2 ply belt but some claim as many as 4 plies. The confusion arises because more layers is not necessarily a better thing. As HealthRider found out several years ago, a very thick belt can be a disaster. HealthRider took a standard 2 ply belt and then glued a layer of carpeted neoprene to the top of a standard belt. The result was a 3 ply (or 4 ply depending upon how you interpret the final addition to the belt) which now had a nice insulation layer of neoprene that did an incredible job of holding in heat and emphasized the potential problem of using a multi-layered belt. Even in a residential setting, the HealthRider belts simply fell apart from the wide variance in heat they experienced. Fortunately for the consuming public HealthRider stopped using these belts a few years ago.

Other companies will advertise an orthopedic belt that has either additional layers or a thicker top layer that helps cushion the foot fall. Once again, our big problem with these belts is heat problems and the fact that many of these belts can weigh as much as 3 to 4 times as much as a regular 2 ply belt. The heavier the belt, the harder the drive system has to work to keep moving the belt around. Combine that with the heat problems inherent in a thicker belt – remember, its’ better insulated – and you can quickly see why we aren’t big fans of the orthopedic belts.

If you are choosing a new treadmill pay attention to the walking belt. It is the heart of a treadmill despite popular opinion naming another part. If you already have a treadmill, maintain your belt and keep it clean and your treadmill will thank you for it in the long run.

The Small Retailer’s Survival Manual

In this tenth and final part of a series of articles about how to survive as a small retailer, I will summarize the main points from the articles and have a look at what the future holds.

Retailing is one of the toughest businesses there is. The reason is that, although trade may be steady, it is a low margin business. This means you work long and hard for little reward. You are in a market where the customers are very knowledgeable about the products they are buying and the have a preset idea of what range of price they are prepared to pay. You are in a business where “the big order” never comes. All you can do is grow your business steadily and hope that a superstore doesn’t open over the road and steal your customers. If you seriously struggling as a small retailer, the first thing to ask yourself is “am I ready for the fight?”. If you have doubts, it may be time to quit right now. On the other hand if you are up for it, by working to your strengths as a small retailer and by hanging in there, the rewards may be better than you imagined.

Some people bemoan the demise of small stores and blame the large chains for their downfall. Superficially this is true, but this is like Yahoo! blaming Google for its downfall (should it ever happen) or radio stations blaming television for losing audience and advertising revenue. I suspect that few of the people who want small stores kept as museums would be prepared to support them by buying goods from them if they are given the choice of better value for money in a chain store over the road. So get real. Forget blaming the opposition. You need to do this for yourself. You never know, you

may one day expand your business into a large chain yourself – and then the little guys may all blame you!

If you are struggling as a small retailer then the most obvious thing you need to do is to change what you do. Some changes may be low cost and easy, others may require you to invest in the business and will mean a lot of effort and commitment. The key thing is to compete with other stores by working

to your strengths. The greatest strength a small local retailer has is that it is small and local. Large chains cannot be small and, although an individual branch is local, it’s primary focus is to the company and not the community it serves. Large chains will never be good at buying local products. Fragmenting buying power from localities is a contradiction of the way large chains are structured. They buy in bulk for a large customer base spread over large areas – that is why their prices are competitive. On the other hand, a small retailer can forge links with local producers. There may be a factory down the road that makes toy cars (OK then, a factory down the road that imports and packs toy cars that are nowadays made in China). You may also have a local dairy that sends their milk to a large store chain but may be happy to sell you a few pints each day. Explore your locality – you may be surprised at what you discover, and the bargains that you can negotiate by going straight to the source rather than through a wholesaler. Offering your customers local products is a good way of demonstrating one of your greatest strengths and having your own unique selling point (USP). You may even be first in the queue for new product trials. This will give your store a very specific and potent USP.
