Amway Network Marketing Review – Is This A Waste Of Time

The Amway network marketing business opportunity is one of the longest serving M. L. M companies in history serving its customers and members for over fifty years. Founded in 1959, Amway has seen annual sales of around US$8.4 bn. and has driven on to have a fantastic level of success. Amway has grown to be one of the largest Multi-Level Marketing opportunities on the planet and operates in more than 80 different countries. This company has created numerous millionaires by reps working diligently to reach this status creating 6 figure incomes every single month. There are always top earners in every field of business however how practical will it be for you to become a top earner within this company or ultimately will it be simply a waste of your time?

Amway products consist of healthy vitamins, supplements, high energy juices, beauty and body products like make up, body lotions for example. Amway has such a wide range of selling items that you can even find goods like cooking pots, car & home cleaning liquids and even jewellery for sell as well . In total Amway offers around 450 products. Distributors have such a abundant list of stock items it shouldn’t be hard to sell things even if customers are just browsing. Price ranges depend on what products are sold of which distributors make good commissions. In 1999, Amway teamed up with a company called Quixtar which form part of the Alticor Group who then developed the Amway network marketing model.

Amway has around ten thousand staff and almost 3 million Independent entrepreneurs ( IBOs ) globally. The determination to stay as the top direct selling corporation makes Amway stand proud of other Multi-Level Marketing firms.

The Amway network marketing opportunity works in a similar way to most other M.L.M companies now available, sell x amount of the product, sponsor x amount of distributors and your financial freedom is handed to you, sounds extraordinarily simple and straightforward. The marketing strategies encouraged by Amway are to sell and sponsor those from your direct warm market i.e. friends, family, neighbours etc . This is a proven system by a lot of network marketers that has produced superb results. There are however some major difficulties that come along with this marketing method for some representatives. Network marketing is a people business which requires other entrepreneurial folks to join your down line. If you already have targeted, determined people within your warm market then you should find it quite a straightforward process to sign them up, if you don’t have these types you will need to seek for these few and far between people which can prove extremely exhausting and unrewarding.

The Amway network marketing opportunity has had sceptics watching each move made by the company and was eventually able to take Amway to court on charges of illegal pyramid practice. The prosecution were never able to prove this charge so Amway continued with business as normal. With most businesses of this nature there are always folks who don’t understand this industry and are fast to reach an unjustified conclusions wasting peoples time and cash in the process. Network marketing is nothing like a pyramid, an important factor to remember is pyramid schemes hardly ever have a product connected with the business, instead just money is paid in with the hope that you receive it back plus 20% for instance. Amway operates in a totally different way and has over 450 products of which representatives sell to customers to make an income.

The Amway network marketing business model does have the potential to create your financial freedom however as discussed above marketing this business can prove more complicated than it sounds. Within my own mlm company It took me a while to grasp talking to individuals like my neighbour who had no real interest in becoming an entrepreneur at all was a complete waste of my time. I loathed the incredible amount of rejection that I faced not to mention the amount of cash I wasted on telephone calls, petrol, hotel suites, leaflets and so on.

Some Amway Marketers have become reliant on internet marketing allowing them to open doors that they had never done before. Network marketers are always taught warm market methods with the basic fundamental being people may join your team because they know, like and trust you, put any decent business model in front of them and there’s a possibility of them joining solely because of you. Working online is a much colder market however using personal branding (attraction marketing) methods like creating blogs and lead squeeze pages is a way for prospects from all areas of the world to learn more about you and what it is you do so turning a relatively cold market into warm.

Online marketing has allowed Amway reps to generate 50+ leads each day nearly on autopilot which is great. This solution to marketing has had wonderful results worldwide making millionaires in the process and could help practically any person in the world have better success within any MLM company including your Amway network marketing business.

Skye Bank Customer Alert – Beware Of Hackers

One of the features of online/Mobile banking is SMS banking services which are operated using both push and pull messages. Push messages are those that the bank chooses to send out to a customer’s mobile phone without the customer initiating a request for the information. For example push messages could be either Mobile marketing messages or messages alerting an event which happens in the customer’s bank account, such as a withdrawal of funds from the ATM or a payment using the customer’s credit card, etc.

Pull messages are those that are initiated by the customer, using a mobile phone, for obtaining information or performing a transaction in the bank account. Examples of pull messages for information include an account balance enquiry, or requests for current information like currency exchange rates and deposit interest rates, as published and updated by the bank.

The bank’s customer is empowered with the capability to select the list of activities (or alerts) that he/she needs to be informed. This functionality to choose activities can be done either by integrating to the internet banking channel or through the bank’s customer service call centre.
It is however sad to note that fraudsters and internet hackers have capitalized on this laudable innovation to rip people off their money. So it is important that as a bank account holder or intending holder you should be aware of this trend and choose the right bank to bank with where your money will be properly secured through adequate online security tips.

Skye bank as a customer friendly bank knows about the activities of these fraudstars and has developed security measures to protect its customers finances. Indian Agriculture Sector At The Cusp Of A Revolution

In the recent years, India has put up an impressive growth performance at the agricultural front, almost 30% as per the latest report. Thanks, to the public and private sector investments flowing in at a continuous pace.

Agriculture is Indian economys mainstay and it comprises 18.5 per cent of the gross domestic product (GDP).

In the last two years agriculture and its allied sectors have registered a noteworthy growth rate of 4% as opposed to the average annual growth rate of 2.5% during the 10th Five-Year plan.

The current thrust on the Agricultural Sector has been mainly possible due to sizeable number of initiatives adopted in the recent years. Say, for instance, public sector investment in the farm sector has grown from 1.8% in 2000-01 to 3.5% in 2006-07, private sector investment has increased from 8.9% in 2003-04 to 9.9% in 2006-07.

According to a report, agri-biotech sector in India has been growing at a mind-blowing rate of 30% since the last five years, and it is likely to maintain this growth rate in the future. The report further adds that agriculture biotech in India has immense growth opportunities and the country could become a forerunner in the production of transgenic rice and several other genetically engineered vegetables by 2010.

The food processing sector, which is considered to the prime driver of the Indian Economy, is currently growing at 13.5% as opposed to 6.5% in 2003-04.

Production

Riding on the back of agro-climatic conditions and rich natural resource base, India, today has become the worlds largest producer of numerous commodities,

The country is the leading producer of coconuts, mangoes, milk, bananas, dairy products, ginger, turmeric, cashew nuts, pulses and black pepper. Further, it is also the second largest producer of rice, wheat, sugar, cotton, fruits and vegetables.

According to the report of Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE), crop production is estimated to increase by 1.7 per cent during FY 10. Foodgrain production is projected to rise by 1.1 per cent. Of which, wheat production may remain at the same level of 80-million tonnes as estimated for FY 09. Rice production may swell by 1.1 per cent to 98.8-million tonnes. Manufacturing of coarse cereals and pulses is also expected to rise in FY 10.

Also, India is the second-largest producer of cotton. The yield may rise 10% to about 32 million sales in 2009-10. Cotton output in 2008-09 is being pegged at 29 million bales, as per the projections by state-owned Cotton Advisory Board.

Indias coffee yield is estimated to touch at 3.1 lakh tonne in 2009-2010, 4.4% higher compared to 2008-09, according to the Coffee Board.

Exports

According to APEDA- government’s agri-trade promotion body- India’s Agricultural and processed food products clocked a 38 per cent increase in the 200708 fiscal, on the back of increased shipments of coarse cereals like maize, jowar and barley. According to official report, India exported 17.5 million tonnes worth of agricultural and processed foods valued at US$ 6.39 billion in FY 200708 as opposed to 10.9 million tonnes in the previous year.

APEDA believes that exports will grow further due to growing demand from Asian and African markets that are vigorously obtaining rather cheaper Products from emerging markets like India.

Today, 70 per cent of the countrys agricultural and processed foods exports are send to developing countries in the Middle East, Asia, Africa and South America.

Investments

* India may shell out US$ 14.05 million for the development of organic spices by 2012, specially turmeric, chilli, and ginger.

* Monsanto Company is planning to spend US$ 9.8 million to set up scholars program to support research and production of rice and wheat, through plant breeding techniques.

* DuPont has taken over Nandi seeds for US$ 8.3 million.

* Tata Chemicals will be setting up a manufacturing plant for customised fertilisers at Babrala in Uttar Pradesh. The company is planning to invest US$ 10.02 million in this facility which is having a production capacity of 20 tonne per hour.

Government Initiatives

Few of the initiatives taken by the government to speed up growth include:

* The government has given approval for 60 Agricultural Export Zones (AEZs).

* The National Food Security Mission aspires to enhance the production of rice, wheat and pulses by 10 million tonnes, 8 million tonnes and 2 million tonnes, respectively by the end of the 11th Plan.

* Agro and allied sectors have been allowed 100 per cent foreign direct investment (FDI) via the automatic route.

Road ahead

With the governments special focus on this sector, the agriculture segment is all set to play a more proactive role in the economy.

In the 200910 budgets, the government has initiated various steps to support the growth of this sector in order to achieve self-sufficiency in food grains.

Agriculture credit may probably touch US$ 67.14 billion for the year 2009-10. In 2008-09 agriculture credit flow was at US$ 59.3 billion.

Abbott tops forecast, Humira sales jump

By Ransdell Pierson of Reutersers

NEW YORK — Abbott Laboratories Inc second-quarter earnings have jumped a higher-than-expected 34 per cent, fuelled by booming sales of its medical devices, Humira arthritis treatment and other drugs.

Based on the results, the suburban Chicago company slightly raised its 2008 profit forecast, saying Humira will generate global sales of more than $4.3 billion this year.

“Abbott did exceptionally well across the board,” said RBC Capital analyst Phil Nalbone, who noted that Humira’s almost 50 per cent sales growth took him by surprise.

Humira, an injectable drug used to treat rheumatoid arthritis and Crohn’s disease, has become one of the world’s top-selling medicines and is considered a linchpin of Abbott’s future earnings growth.

The company is also counting heavily on Xience. In clinical trials, the new stent has proven superior to Boston Scientific Corp’s widely used Taxus device, which is also used to prop open arteries that have been cleared of plaque.

Quarterly profit rose to $1.32 billion, or 85 US cents per share, from $989 million, or 63 US cents per share, a year earlier.

Excluding special items, earnings were 84 US cents per share, 5 US cents higher than the analysts’ average forecast, according to Reuters Estimates.

Company officials told analysts on a conference call that half of the earnings “beat” was due to early payments from Takeda Pharmaceutical Co Ltd to end its TAP Pharmaceuticals joint venture with Abbott.

The company said it expected earnings per share of $3.24 to $3.28 this year, excluding special items, up from its earlier outlook of $3.20 to $3.25. The new forecast translates into profit growth of as much as 15.4 per cent.

Abbott shares, which had risen as much as 2.5 per cent in premarket trading, lost their gains during the conference call and were down 1.5 per cent in the afternoon.

Mr Nalbone said shares fell because the company only raised its full-year profit guidance by about 4 US cents a share, although second-quarter results beat consensus forecasts by 5 US cents.

“That made some people worried about the second half of the year,” he said, but dismissed those concerns. “I think the company was just putting out a conservative forecast.”

Quarterly sales jumped almost 15 per cent to $7.31 billion, a bit higher than Wall Street expectations. They would have risen 8.9 per cent if not for the weak dollar, which raises the value of overseas sales.

Global Humira sales soared 48 per cent to $1.09 billion, despite strong competition from Johnson & Johnson’sRemicade and Wyeth’s Enbrel.

Sales of Kaletra, which combines two treatments for HIV, rose almost 13 per cent to $355 million. Niaspan, the most widely used medicine to raise levels of “good” HDL cholesterol, rose 14 per cent to $194 million.

Global sales of medical products jumped almost 15 per cent to $1.8 billion, amid growing demand for diagnostics and for Xience overseas.

US regulators approved Xience earlier this month. It will compete with Taxus, Medtronic’s Endeavor and J&J’s Cypher. The devices all have drug coatings meant to prevent reclogging with scar tissue.

By contrast, the American Stock Exchange Pharmaceutical Index of large US and European drug makers has fallen 15 per cent in the past year as many rivals have failed to develop big-selling products needed to replace ones losing patent protection.

Small Business Employee Motivation and how Professional Employer Organizations Can Help

Motivating employees has always been key in any successful business. First and foremost, you need to understand what motivates each individual small business employee that you have. Depending on the work role, they may be motivated by some type of payed bonus, being asked to lead a new initiative, or by simply telling them, “I thought you did an incredible job.” Either way, this is the first step in understanding how to get more out of your employees; knowing their individual personalities. While implementing this important step, professional employer organizations may provide consulting and coaching on ways to do this depending on their level of outsourced HR services and expertise.

If it is money that motivates your small business employee, there are ways to use money effectively. Simply providing a raise, and one that may be outside of market pricing, may keep your employee in the short term, but studies have found that this is not a long term motivation tool. Many Peo companies can help you understand compensation by job role, and offer advice on the best way to create bonus or commission structures that are appropriate.

Small business owners can also simply ask the employee what they want, what they are expecting out of their job, and how they feel they can help grow the business. Asking an individuals opinion and working with them to shape their responsibilities will go a long way for the small business employer, hence the employee is doing the work that they want to do as well as feeling as though their input and personal goals are being considered. The employee leasing services can assist by consulting on individual employee job growth and career paths.

One incentive often resulting in a more motivated employee is rewarding them with a paid day off. Sometimes after a small business project that took long hours or weekend work, free time (herego acknowledgement and reward) can go a long way. This lets the small business employee take a much needed break, and one that does not cost the business anything in addition to their regular pay. If you use this method, effective and compliant PTO polices can be reviewed with your professional employer organization.

Another tip: Does your employee live more than 45 minutes from your location? The drive is most likely not enjoyed by your employee, and may be cause for a less motivated one. What you can do, however, is allow for that employee to work at home every now and then. While their physical presence is absent at the office, they can very often still get work done from home. They may even be more effective, you have now given them ninety more minutes on those days to allow for more work or to deal with personal issues that would normally take them away from their 8 hour workday.

Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, no matter what happens at the US national level on health care, the small business that continues to provide relatively affordable health insurance and additional perks will show their employees that the business owner has their best interest in mind. The professional employment organizations key role is pooling together thousands of employees, which provides the smaller business with cheaper and more stable costs related to these types of benefits.

Unfortunately, the small business is competing against large companies with deep pockets; small business owners should look to keep the employees that are important to their organization. In addition, professional employment organizations simply make the business world easier as they take on menial administrative tasks and offer expert advice and suggestions.

Who Invented Business Cards

Who Invented Business Cards?

Apparently this was originated in Europe, France in particular, where it was typical for a gentleman or a lady in the 19th century to carry a card. It was a common thing amongst everyone in Europe at the time. At this time in Europe the business card was freely given out to all, by just about everyone, as a hello, or an ice breaker.

These cards were not too different from todays business cards, as you could imagine. Pretty much every business card has the same basic information on it. That is because it is the core of what makes the business card such a powerful tool in marketing yourself, a business, service, or some sort of merchandise. What started in Paris in the 19th century and then was then brought to the US about the same time.

The US was a bit more formal about the affairs of which a business card was thought to be proper. Mostly only left behind with a servant at first the business card was a way to say hey I came to collect my bill and you were not in. Now today we have evolved to what used to be a European way of passing out the business card, quite freely as cheap business cards of high quality are easier to find.

So now everyone has easy access to the fantastically effective, good looking, business cards to be remembered by. If you dont have a business card you would be better off getting finding cheap business card printing online and getting a few thousand cards for less than a video game costs these days. Its no secret everyone who know anything about business knows a business card is essential.

Put Your Water Heating Bill On An Energy Diet

Heating water for domestic purposes – showers, laundry, dishes, and the rest – accounts for 12% to 26% of a home’s energy use. That’s between $240 and $520 for an average US household. But you can put your hot water system on an energy diet without sacrificing comfort. The 6 strategies below range widely in cost and complexity but all will reduce your energy bills and your carbon footprint.

#1 – Insulate Your Water Tank

If your water storage tank was made before 2004 there is a very strong possibility you are throwing money down the drain in standby heat losses.

Insulating an older water tank can reduce standby heat loss by up to 45 percent!

#2 – Insulate Your Homes Hot Water Pipes

It is a fact that every inch of bare hot water pipe running through your home is costing you money. As hot water is transported through through bare pipes there is significant heat loss which translates into wasted energy and dollars.

#3 – Find and Repair Leaks and Drips

Leaky faucets can be a pain and in a lot of cases just ignored. However, if your leaky faucet happens to be on the hot water side you could be throwing dollars down the drain every day.

Good news is most leaks are easily handled by homeowners and translate into immediate savings.

#4 – Add a Thermal Expansion Tank

When the water inside your water tank is heated it actually expands. When there is no expansion tank the water can leak out of the tanks pressure valve or cause a leak in your piping or worse case actually ruin the tank.

The easy solution is to install a Thermal Expansion Tank. They are fairly easy to install and will literally protect your entire hot water system.

#5 – Add a Gravity-Fed Recirculation System

A typical household can waste up to 11,000 gallons of water each and every year waiting for hot water to make the trip from the water tank to the shower or sink.

Recirculation systems use a pump and are capable of deliver instant hot water to everyone, eliminating the wait.

#6 – Throw Your Old Tank Away and Try Newer Technology

Install a newer more efficient tank. Current models are a lot safer and come with better insulation which makes them cheaper to run.

Try a Tankless System – on demand water systems eliminate the need for a storage tank and deliver heated water as it is needed throughout the house.

Plug into the sun. Of course there is an upfront charge but from that point forward your heated water is basically free. Solar water heating systems routinely deliver savings from 70 to 80 percent.

Types Of Mobile Cranes And Their Uses

Mobile cranes are some of the most useful examples of construction equipment in use today, and they come in many shapes and forms. This article looks at various forms of mobile cranes and their uses.

Truck-mounted crane

The name of these cranes is self-explanatory; the truck the crane is mounted on allows users to move it around, and the crane can be easily transported along major roads which is an advantage as there is no need to arrange special crane transportation.

Whilst a truck-mounted crane is in use, care must be taken not to swing its load from side to side, across the direction in which it is travelling. Outriggers are put out to stabilise the crane when it is stationary, and many have counterweights for extra stabilisation.

Rough terrain crane

This type of mobile crane is mounted on a special undercarriage which has four rubber tyres, allowing it to travel easily over off-road and rough-terrain-type surfaces for pick-up-and-carry jobs. There is usually one engine which powers both the crane and the undercarriage, and the engine is usually located in the undercarriage.

All terrain crane

This types of mobile cranes can travel on public roads as well as on the job site where the terrain may be rough. Designed to lift up to 1200 tons, these cranes combine the manoeuvrability of the rough terrain crane and the ability to travel on roads of the truck-mounted crane, and they use all-wheel and crab steering on the rough terrain.

Crawler crane

These types of mobile cranes have a range of lifting potential from around 40 US tons up to around 3500 tons. A crawler crane is mounted on top of an undercarriage featuring a set of tracks or crawlers that keep it stable and allow it to move.

These cranes are very stable and travel well with loads and moves around relatively easy on site. However, they are very heavy and it can be expensive to move one from one site to another, with larger varieties having to be dismantled and transported by road, rail or even by ships.

Floating cranes

These are cranes that are mostly used in the construction of bridges and ports, and occasionally the offloading of awkward loads from ships. Cranes can be in the form of crane barges, and these are very strong with a lifting capacity of more than 10,000 tons. For this reason they can be used to transport entire sections of bridges, and they’ve been used before to salvage a ship which has sunk. Other types of mobile floating cranes are pontoon-mounted.

There are many other types of mobiles cranes; this is not a comprehensive list but a cross-section of some of the most commonly-used in the industrial world today.
